What is the difference between high functioning autism and Aspergers

Apart from being a full time fimmaker i also work as a tutor for the national.People with aspergers are high functional and exhibit a high form of intelligence just like their hfa counterparts.One difference is that people with asperger's have asperger's from a young age.Some researchers say people with asperger's are different than their autistic counterparts.Asperger's syndrome is on the autism spectrum and is considered to be more on the higher functioning end, according to autismspeaks.org.Diagnosis asperger's is only diagnosed at about 7 or 8 years of age.

In comparison, high functioning autism is usually diagnosed by about 3 years of age in most cases.Well i have high functioning autism and i was told that this diagnosis reflects the fact that i had speech delay as a child.The reverse is true too.However, unlike hfa people, they don't have any early language.
